Reset PuTTY Settings

This article has been written more that 2 years ago. It is possible that some of the steps described here under are now obsolete.
My main issue was that I could not overwrite the default settings and in particular, my font parameter. So I updated it directly in the registry.
All PuTTY settings are available in registry. The path to have access to keys: HKEY_USERS\UID\Software\SimonTatham\PuTTY\Sessions\Default%20Settings
The UID part is unique and will be different on your computer.
Be careful when you edit manually those keys, it can lead to some unpredictable behavior if parameters are wrong.
